Grants and Scholarships

MLA/ARL Leadership and Career Development Program

The Medical Library Association (MLA) and the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) jointly sponsor a minority leadership and career development program. In addition to ARL's contribution, MLA contributes $4,500 to support advancement and leadership opportunities for one minority, mid-career librarian in academic and research libraries. Funding for the scholarship is provided by a grant from the National Library of Medicine under the NLM Contract N01-LM-1-3515 with the Houston Academy of Medicine-Texas Medical Center Library. African American, Hispanic, Asian, Native American, or Pacific Islander individuals are eligible to apply.
